Moss Wood

Moss Wood is the second-oldest founding estate of Margaret River, first planted in 1969 and located in Wilyabrup. Owned and managed by Clare and Keith Mugford, this 5 Red Star family winery has helped establish Margaret River’s global reputation for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon.

The unirrigated, dry-grown old vines produce concentrated fruit with natural low yields. Grapes are hand harvested and rigorously sorted. Red wines undergo open-fermentation with daily hand plunging and mature in premium French oak. Rated Exceptional in Langton’s Classification, Moss Wood wines display outstanding consistency and decades-long cellaring potential, with its iconic Cabernet Sauvignon and refined Chardonnay widely revered by critics.
