McHenry Honnen

McHenry Hohnen Vintners was founded in 2004 by Murray McHenry and David Hohnen, co-creator of Cape Mentelle and Cloudy Bay. Situated in southern Margaret River near Witchcliffe, the estate manages three separate certified biodynamic vineyards, including Hazel’s Vineyard as its core site.

Committed to holistic biodynamic farming, the team nurtures soil vitality and biodiversity. All fruit is hand-picked, with low-intervention winemaking to faithfully express each vineyard’s unique terroir. The winery produces textured, character-driven wines, ranging from classic Bordeaux varieties to Grenache, Mataro and Marsanne-Roussanne blends. It earns high acclaim from James Halliday for its distinctive single-vineyard bottlings.
