Below & Above

Below & Above is a unique family estate located in Pemberton of Western Australia’s Southern Forests. Founded in 2013 by John and Evdokia Klepec, the estate runs dual farming: black truffles grown underground and premium cool-climate wines above ground. Its 34-hectare Thella Vineyard adopts regenerative farming to nurture soil vitality and biodiversity.

Only the top 5%-10% of grapes are selected for bottling. All wines are held for bottle ageing before release, crafted by renowned winemaker Bruce Dukes. The estate focuses on Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Merlot, expressing the refined, elegant cool-climate character of Pemberton. It earns high praise from leading Australian wine critics including James Halliday and Erin Larkin.
