Cape Grace Wines

Cape Grace Wines is a family-owned boutique winery located in Wilyabrup, the heart of Western Australia’s Margaret River wine region. Founded in 1996 by Robert and Karen Karri-Davies, whose family has deep roots in the Margaret River area dating back to 1875.

The estate operates a single 15-acre vineyard managed under sustainable principles. All grapes are estate-grown and vinified on-site, enabling full control from vine to bottle. Cape Grace is renowned for traditional basket pressing and gentle hand plunging for red wines, with reds matured in French oak barriques for 12–18 months. Minimal-intervention winemaking preserves the authentic terroir expression of Wilyabrup.

With an annual output under 2,000 cases, Cape Grace produces small-batch, handcrafted wines. Rated 4 stars by James Halliday Wine Companion, the winery has won 3 trophies and over 175 medals across wine competitions. Its flagship Reserve Basket Pressed Cabernet Sauvignon stands out for outstanding ageing potential, representing the classic Margaret River Cabernet style with blackcurrant, cedar, mint and fine-grained tannins.

The winery’s emblem is the Black Swan, the iconic symbol of Western Australia.
